Your baby absolutely has a dairy allergy or sensitivity.

Well when addressing this topic the first thing I feel compelled to say is that humans are not meant to drink cow's milk. Bottom line it is bad for us. Everything that you have heard/read about milk is generally part of the Dairy industry's push to get you to drink milk. Medically the facts are that cows milk is good for cows until they are old enough to eat food. The same way babies should either nurse or have formula until they are old enough to eat.

Once the transition occurs to real food, there really is no reason for a child to have cow's milk. The question really isn't if your baby has a dairy allergy or sensitivity but how that will present itself: Heart Disease, Neoplasms, Pneumonia, Diabetes, Asthma, Bronchitis, etc.

See you must understand that milk has over 50 hormones, allergens, fat, and cholesterol. That is what milk is. If you remove Milk from your diet you will no longer have phlegm, mucus will decrease, etc. These are proven and I have done it myself. I still have a weakness for cheese but I am working on it, considering that every time I eat cheese I am getting ten times what I would get with regular milk because of how it is processed.

Unfortunately quite a bit of what we are taught here in the US is what the people with the most money want us to hear. Often this is not actually factual and in turn we believe them to be correct. After all, why would they teach us the "food pyramid" if it was not accurate? Well the food industry designed the pyramid, and even on it Milk, Dairy AND Meats would be 8% of our diet. Most of us eat or drink more of that in milk/dairy not to mention meat.

If you feel you really need to give your child milk look at using a substitute such as almond, rice, or soy milk. Personally we use almond milk when we have a desire for milk. If you have a male child you definitely do not want to substitute using soy milk. Soy is not good for males, it is OK for females but males it has adverse reactions with the testosterone and obviously boys have more testosterone than girls.

A couple of sites to look at if you have concerns about milk are: Dangers of Milk and Dairy Products or Not Milk.com. These are just a couple but they are very detailed especially the first one.

One of the things thy are finding with obesity, diabetes, and child hood diseases is that many of them are not actually genetic though they are inherited. We are teaching our children what to eat through them seeing us. For example my father LOVED cheese when I was a child. Therefore I ate A LOT of cheese with him as a child. Now it is harder for me to break this cycle and keep my weight under control, not because it is genetic that I will have a weight issue, it is my eating habits.

If you can prevent giving your child milk and use alternatives such as the almond, soy, or rice milk when needed you will be helping your child to not acquire a taste for something that is not good for them. Our daughter doesn't even like milk at this point she can have it in cakes/cookies/ice cream on special occasions lets not go too far overboard here, but overall there is no reason for her to have it so we never gave it to her and she never acquired a taste for it.
